CBF China Bio-Fertilizer AG : Local Court in Hamburg appoints new members of the Supervisory Board
CBF China Bio-Fertilizer AG / Key word(s): Change of Personnel Hamburg, Germany, March 11, 2013 – By order of 27 February 2013, the Local Court in Hamburg appointed new members of the Supervisory Board of CBF China Bio-Fertilizer AG (CBF AG). As applied for by the Management Board of CBF AG Ms. Xiaohong YU and Mr. Hu TIAN are now new members of the Supervisory Board. Ms. Xiaohong YU is currently a partner at the Zhongrui accounting firm in Hebei province. Mr. Hu TIAN has the position of the vice-chairman of the Industry Federation of Hebei province. The original members of the Supervisory Board Ms. Ying Li HONG and Mr. Ching Ho TAM resigned from their position because of their increased obligations in other business engagements with effect from 17 February 2013, respectively 1 February 2013. Additional member of the Supervisory board comprised of three persons is its Chairman Mr. Phillip Moffat.
CBF's bio fertilizer primarily consist of two different bacteria that, when put in the ground with the conventional fertilizers convert phosphorus and potassium into a form that is easily absorbed by plants. Using this bio fertilizer reduces the need for chemical fertilizers by up to 30% and, depending on the type of plant, boosts crop yields by up to 30%.
Financial calendar 2013: About CBF China Bio-‐Fertilizer AG CBF China Bio-Fertilizer AG ('CBF') produces and distributes bio fertilizer through its operating subsidiary in China. Based on its own estimates, the company is the market leader in the Chinese market for bio fertilizer. Its products reduce the use of conventional fertilizers and simultaneously boost crop yields. CBF is licensed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China. The operating subsidiary of CBF 'Shandong Chengwu Jiuzhou Science and Technology Development Company Limited' was founded in Shandong Province, China, in 2005, with a view to exploiting biotechnological processes for agriculture. After three years of development work, in May 2009 the company launched its first bio fertilizer product based on microorganisms in the Chinese market under the brand name 'Xin Sheng Li'. At present CBF distributes its bio fertilizer in eleven of 26 Chinese provinces. The company intends to expand to further provinces. CBF currently sells its fertilizer directly to major agricultural cooperatives, plantations and wholesalers in China.
