Christian Klein biography


Christian Klein is Chief Executive Officer and member of the Executive Board of SAP SE. In his role, Klein holds the overall responsibility for the corporate strategic direction, management, and performance of SAP.
Klein joined the SAP Executive Board in 2018 as the head of the Intelligent Enterprise Group, combining global responsibility for the development and delivery of SAP’s core applications with the cross-board area mandate for SAP’s global business operations.
Klein started his career at SAP in 1999 as a student. After holding various positions across the company, including Chief Financial Officer of SAP SuccessFactors and SAP’s Chief Controlling Officer, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of SAP in 2016, a role in which he continued until 2021. On October 11, 2019, he was named Co-CEO of SAP SE together with Jennifer Morgan, before being appointed the sole CEO on April 20, 2020.
Klein holds a diploma in International Business Administration from the University of Cooperative Education in Mannheim, Germany.

Muhammad Alam biography


Muhammad Alam is a member of the Executive Board of SAP SE. He leads the SAP Product Engineering Board area and has global responsibility for all business software applications.
This includes all functional areas from product strategy, product management, design, and development to running software-as-a-service cloud operations. Alam is responsible for a portfolio that includes solutions for enterprise resource planning for both public and private cloud, supply chain management, spend management, business network, human capital management, and customer experience, as well as solutions for small and midsize enterprises. He is also responsible for the strategy and development of specialized solutions relevant to a multitude of industries.
Before being appointed the head of SAP Product Engineering, Alam served as president and chief product officer of the Intelligent Spend Management program. He was responsible for product strategy, product management, development, design, and cloud operations for direct and indirect procurement applications, external workforce, travel and expense solutions, and SAP Business Network.
Alam started his career with Ernst & Young LLP, where he led implementation projects for many ERP and business applications for some of the largest companies in the world. Before joining SAP, Alam spent 17 years at Microsoft, leading various teams in the Business Applications division, ranging from consulting and customer experience and product success to his most recent role as the corporate vice president of Dynamics 365.
In that capacity, he led product strategy, product management, development, and operations for the entire Dynamics 365 application portfolio, growing it into a massive multibillion-dollar cloud business.
Alam is a certified public accountant in the United States and has a bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College.

Dominik Asam biography


Dominik Asam is a member of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of SAP SE. His responsibilities include the areas of finance and administration, and he has served in this function at SAP since March 2023.

Prior to joining SAP, Asam had served as CFO at Airbus SE from April 2019 to February 2023 and Infineon Technologies AG from 2011. In 2010, Asam was Head of Group Controlling at RWE AG. From 2005 to 2010 he held various positions at Siemens AG, e.g., CEO of Siemens Financial Services and Corporate Vice President and Treasurer. From 2003 to 2005, Asam headed Investor Relations, Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategy at Infineon Technologies AG. Asam began his professional career in 1996 in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs Inc.

Asam graduated in Mechanical Engineering at Technical University of Munich and École Centrale Paris. He also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from INSEAD (European Institute of Business Administration).

Juergen Mueller biography


Juergen Mueller is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and a member of the Executive Board of SAP SE. He leads the Technology & Innovation Board area at SAP and has successfully established SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) as the platform for SAP and as an external business unit. SAP BTP brings together application development and automation, data management, analytics and planning, integration, and generative artificial intelligence capabilities into one unified environment optimized for SAP applications.

In his mandate as CTO, he will prepare SAP for its accelerated Cloud growth. In addition to SAP BTP, he is responsible for architecture decisions and innovations across SAP as well as Business Transformation Management with SAP Signavio and LeanIX. Global security and Cloud compliance are also part of his responsibility.

Since joining SAP in 2013, Juergen has held distinct leadership roles, serving as the Head of the Innovation Center Network, Managing Director of SAP Labs Berlin, and SAP’s Chief Innovation Officer. In 2019, Juergen was appointed to the Executive Board of SAP SE as CTO, taking on responsibilities for SAP’s platform and development unit.

Juergen holds a diploma in business informatics from the University of Goettingen, Germany, and holds a PhD with emphasis on new applications optimized for in-memory databases from the Hasso-Plattner-Institute in Potsdam, Germany.

In 2020, Juergen was included on Fortune’s 40 Under 40 and joined the World Economic Forum’s Community of Chief Digital Officers.

Scott Russell is SAP’s Chief Revenue Officer and a member of the Executive Board of SAP SE. In his role, Russell leads the Board area Customer Success, the company’s global sales, partner, and customer engagement organization. He holds the responsibility for SAP’s global revenue under management for cloud, software, and support.
Russell’s career spans more than 25 years in the industry where he continues to be at the forefront of leveraging innovative technologies to deliver high impact business outcomes for organizations. As the primary custodian of SAP’s customers and partners, Russell focuses on helping companies of all sizes maximize the value from their technology investments with SAP. Under his leadership, SAP’s cloud revenue has accelerated exponentially with consistent double-digit growth, representing an all-time high in business performance.
Russell started his career in sales and spent many years in management consulting at PwC before becoming a Partner at IBM. Prior to being appointed to the Executive Board of SAP SE in 2021, he served 11 years in SAP undertaking various leadership roles and was the president of SAP Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) where he developed the region into becoming SAP’s fastest-growing cloud market globally.
Based in New York, he also serves as the Chairperson of Taulia and the Chairperson of SAP North America. Russell holds a postgraduate degree in business from Deakin University, Australia. Deeply committed to the business imperative of leading with purpose, Russell is an active executive sponsor for talent development and employee well-being.

Thomas Saueressig biography


Thomas Saueressig is a member of the Executive Board of SAP SE. He heads the Customer Services & Delivery Board area with global responsibility for long-term customer value in the cloud. This includes all business areas in customer services, comprising professional services, premium engagements, customer innovation services, and customer support. In addition, Saueressig leads cloud infrastructure, cloud operations, cloud lifecycle management, and private cloud delivery for SAP’s global customer base.
The goal of the Customer Services & Delivery organization is to further increase customer satisfaction by ensuring that customers get the best services, tools, and support to accelerate their cloud transformation and adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) through the immense value of the integrated SAP portfolio. SAP helps customers to drive their business transformation effectively while maximizing the benefits of the cloud and AI.
Previously, as a member of the Executive Board of SAP SE, Saueressig led the SAP Product Engineering Board area and was responsible for the company’s entire application portfolio. This also included cloud offerings, the global SAP Labs Network, the SAP Enterprise Adoption organization, and development priorities. These priorities encompassed innovation, AI, integration, design and user experience, cloud operational excellence, and the overall quality and security of SAP software products.
Before being appointed the head of SAP Product Engineering, Saueressig was chief information officer (CIO) and global head of IT Services at SAP. As CIO, he was responsible for SAP’s IT strategy and execution following a cloud-first approach. Under his leadership, the IT organization pioneered new business models and significantly advanced SAP’s own cloud transformation. Saueressig started his career at SAP in consulting in 2004 before moving on to spend time abroad and holding various management positions with growing responsibility across SAP.
He was included on Fortune’s 40 Under 40 list in 2016. As global sponsor for the Business Women’s Network, the largest employee network at SAP, and the SAP Women in Tech initiative, Saueressig supports corporate initiatives for gender equality. Furthermore, he is the executive sponsor for the Accessible Workplace Inclusion Network, an employee network that embraces accessibility and inclusion across all aspects of work at SAP and beyond.
Saueressig has a degree in Business Information Technology from the University of Cooperative Education in Mannheim (Germany) and a joint executive MBA from ESSEC Business School (France) and Mannheim Business School (Germany).

Gina Vargiu-Breuer is SAP’s Chief People Officer and Labor Director, and Member of the Executive Board. In her role, Vargiu-Breuer leads the People & Culture organization and owns the global people agenda for SAP.
Vargiu-Breuer brings more than 20 years of international people business experience to SAP. She joins from Siemens Energy AG, where she served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources since 2019, spearheading the company’s spin-off from Siemens AG, and successfully driving change for 94,000 employees. Her work included the construction of the entire Siemens Energy HR value chain, implementing a new operational model that seamlessly merged business imperatives with human resources. Her transformational work significantly elevated Siemens Energy’s working environment and company culture.
Previously, Vargiu-Breuer held various positions at Siemens AG, including Senior Vice President of Global HR for Gas & Power, Service & Digital. During this time, she gained technical expertise and extensive experience in global business management, international people development, and organizational transformation. Vargiu-Breuer holds a master’s degree in Economic Psychology from the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Germany.

Julia White biography


Julia White is the Chief Marketing and Solutions Officer and a member of the Executive Board of SAP SE. In her role, White leads all marketing functions including corporate, regional, and product marketing, global communications, product learning and community, pricing and packaging, and government affairs. She is also the executive sponsor for Pride@SAP, the Black Employee Network, and the Business Women’s Network at SAP.
White joined SAP after spending 20 years at Microsoft. Most recently, she led product marketing for Microsoft Azure, helping grow the business to become the world’s second largest public cloud offering.
