Company profile

Commerce Resources Corp. (TSXv: CCE) has two advanced tantalum/niobium properties, the Fir and Verity, in Canada. Collectively known as the Blue River Tantalum/Niobium Project, the Verity and Fir are actually 300 kilometres north of Kamloops, in central British Columbia, and just 30 kilometres from the small town of Blue River.

Tonnage & Grade: Resource Calculations
The Fir carbonatite represented a grass-roots exploration target in 2001 and has since proven to be a major tantalum deposit. Building on the four holes drilled by Anschutz in the 1980’s, Commerce drilled six holes in 2001 and an additional five in 2002, for a combined total of 15 holes at Fir. An independent geological report completed in 2003 (by R.S. Verzosa, P.Eng ) reports the Fir deposit is host to an indicated resource of 5.65 million tonnes grading 203 grams per tonne Ta2O5 and 1,047 grams per tonne Nb2O5. The Fir deposit is also host to an inferred resource of 6.74 million tonnes grading 203.1 grams per tonne and 1,047 grams per tonne Nb2O5.( R.S. Verzosa, P.Eng ) The full potential still remains undiscovered as the Fir remains open for expansion in three directions.

Ten kilometres north of the Fir deposit, Verity is host to an inferred resource of 3.06 million tonnes grading 196 grams per tonne tantalum and 646 grams per tonne niobium with phosphate credits, based on data from 30 holes, according to an independent geological report prepared for Commerce in 2001 (by James McCrea, P.Geo ), and like Fir, the Verity deposit remains open for expansion in three directions.

Infrastructure
The project benefits from excellent infrastructure – a huge advantage for any exploration project with hopes of one day becoming a mine. The Yellowhead Highway, Canadian National Railway, and BC Hydro power lines actually cross Commerce’s property. The fact there is so much good infrastructure should help Commerce in achieving its goal of making the Blue River Tantalum/Niobium Project a low-cost producer.

To date, the company has already garnered successful media coverage from news agencies such as the Dow Jones Newswire (USA), Financial Post (Canada), MetalPages.com and The Northern Miner.
