As part of an extensive restructuring in the mid 1990s, BLG transformed from a local port handling company in Bremen and Bremerhaven to an international logistics service provider. The company thus responds to the requirements of globalisation, which gained dramatically in momentum with the political and economic opening-up of Eastern Europe and other parts of the world. The successful development is based, on the one hand, on the expanded and constantly further developing logistical know-how, and on the other, on the strategic decision to strengthen logistical performance and geographic range with joint ventures, co-operations and strategic alliances. The BLG LOGISTICS GROUP AG & Co. Management
Frank Dreeke (born in 1959) has more than three decades of global managerial experience in the port and logistics industries. He was appointed to the Board of Management by the Supervisory Board at the beginning of 2013 and took the Chair on June 1. His other areas of responsibility include corporate strategy, communications, transport policy, IT, sustainability and digitalization, compliance and auditing.
Michael Blach (born in 1964) is an internationally-experienced port and shipping manager, most recently as Vice President of Key Client Management at the A.P. MØller-Maersk Group. He has been a member of the Board of Management since June 1, 2013, and has been responsible for the Container division since January 1, 2017. Furthermore, he is Chairman of the Group Management Board of EUROGATE.
Following executive management roles at international companies, Christine Hein (born in 1967) brings to the table solid knowledge and experience, especially in finance / accounting, risk management and M&A. For 17 years, she worked in various departments and companies within the French oil group Total. On November 1, 2020 she joined the Board of Management as CFO.
Matthias Magnor (born in 1974) is responsible for the Contract Logistics Division at BLG LOGISTICS since October 1, 2021 and the Automobile Devision since December 1, 2022. The graduate in business administration has extensive expertise in the areas of supply chain management, logistics, services and trade – for more than 20 years he has been active in the logistics sector and the shipping industry.
Ulrike Riedel (born in 1972) draws on many years of experience as a Labor Relations Director. From 1999, she worked in various functions for the airport company Flughafen Hamburg GmbH, before joining Hamburger Hochbahn AG in 2009 as Labor Relations Director and Member of the Board of Management. In March 2017, Ulrike Riedel took up her post as Labor Relations Director and member of the group management of EUROGATE, before joining BLG as Labor Relations Director on July 1, 2020.
