Munich, September 23, 2008 – telegate AG is predicting earnings before
interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of 35-40 million
Euro for fiscal year 2008. Once again the specialist for Local Search is
upgrading its earnings forecasts thanks to positive business trend over the
first months of the annual year and optimistic prospects for the coming
months. The company had already increased its EBITDA forecast from 30
million Euro to 30-35 million Euro on the announcement of its half-year
figures. This excludes one-time effects from the integration of klickTel AG
and those stemming from the data cost litigation. As regards medium-term
profit targets the management board has not amended its previous forecasts.
The principal reason for the more positive outlook is the positive
development of the core business, in which the company has succeeded in
offsetting the still weakening demand in Voice Directory Assistance better
than expected thanks to add-on and value-added services and strict cost
management. Beside that, telegate AG progresses well in the group-wide
expansion of the advertising sales business and in market penetration
towards small and mid-sized enterprises.
