Joyou AG – Preliminary results show double-digit growth in revenue and EBIT

According to preliminary results, Joyou AG generated a significant increase in its key financial figures for the financial year 2014. Revenues increased by 11.3% to 398.1 million Euros (2013: 357.8 million Euros) in the financial year 2014. Measured in Renminbi (RMB), revenue grew by 11.2%, which was even slightly above the last full year guidance provided by Joyou AG, which foresaw sales growth at the upper end of the range of 5% to 10%. At the same time the Group’s EBIT (operating profit) grew at an even higher rate of 15.5% to 61.4 million Euros (2013: 53.2 million Euros). EBIT margin climbed to 15.4% (2013: 14.9%). An important growth driver was the successful implementation of the Group’s international growth strategy, whereby international sales increased significantly by 79.5% to 30.0 million Euros. But also in the domestic market China Joyou achieved a robust sales growth with sales amounting to 368.1 million Euros, surpassing the corresponding sales of 2013 by 7.9%. “We are very pleased with the fact that we have been able to grow according to our core growth strategy and goals, namely the steady expansion of our international sales but also an on-going development of our domestic market with respect to project business as well as our network of franchised retail stores,” says Mr. Jianshe Cai, CEO of Joyou AG.
