DGAP-News: CASSONA SE / Key word(s): Alliance/Strategic Company Decision 18.12.2013 / 10:10 --------------------------------------------------------------------- CASSONA has signed a cooperation agreement for the exploration and production of crude oil and the Canadian authorities give the approval to start on the first oil well in CASSONA's oil field in the province of Alberta. Frankfurt (18 December 2013) - CASSONA SE (COE) announces today, that they have signed a cooperation agreement for the exploration and production of crude oil in Canada. The Canadian oil production company has received all governmental approvals as the local operator to start with the oil production. The first oil well on the oil field of CASSONA is completed with a service rig to start the oil production in the first quarter of 2014. 'In fact it is an existing abandoned well on our oil field we took over from the previous owners', the CEO Guido Quadri admits. 'We have updated the facilities to the latest state-of- the-art technology and we have now received the green light by the authorities to put our drilling rig into operation. Today's technology gives us completely new possibilities to successfully recover the oil resources trapped in the rocks and sediments of our property.' An important aspect of the extraction of resources in areas with dense forests in Canada is the respect of environmental and nature conservation requirements. The forests surrounding the crude oil deposits of CASSONA are inhabited by a large variety of animals, which are protected by the native Canadian Indians. The area is home to the Canadian black bear and different kinds of moose and deer but as well to wolves and the Canada lynx. Any interference with nature is reduced to a minimum. This applies to the oil production sites as well as to provisional access roads and pipelines.
