Berliner Synchron Holding AG: Berliner Synchron to move to new headquarters in the innovation centre EUREF Campus at the end of 2016.
Berliner Synchron Holding AG / Key word(s): Miscellaneous Berlin, 13 March 2015 – The management of Berliner Synchron GmbH has signed a long-term lease with EUREF AG, thus clarifying the location issue of the Berlin company after its previous headquarters in Lankwitz were sold under a sale-and-lease-back transaction two years ago. As a result, both Berliner Synchron GmbH and its listed parent company, Berliner Synchron Holding AG (WKN: A1YDEE), will move to Berlin-Schöneberg before the end of 2016. The approx. 5.5 hectare urban district around the Schöneberg gasometer is a symbol of the energy and mobility transition in Germany. Ecologically and economically sustainable solutions make the office and science campus into a unique European centre for innovation and projects of the future. The EUREF Campus is the destination of many international and national delegations, a sought-after event location, and also a proven media location, as shown by the “Günther Jauch” political talk-show, and the locally based production company. The lease with Berliner Synchron with a floor area of over 2,500 square metres takes effect from 1 September 2016. At the new location, multifunctional edit suites and a capacity for new recording and mixing studios will be created. These will fully meet the modern requirements for cinema and TV productions as well as for corporate media both technically and atmospherically. The decision for the new headquarters is clearly welcome on a political level: “I am delighted that Berliner Synchron, a local, long established company, has again chosen Berlin. Moving its new headquarters to the EUREF Campus secures jobs in Berlin in the long term. We have supported Berliner Synchron in their search for the best location for them for their new dubbing studios and offices,” said Dr. Stefan Franzke, managing director of Berlin Partner for Business and Technology. Another focus will be on the development of the digital value chain. With a new, cross-divisional organisational and communication system, the analogue interfaces still typical to the industry will be optimized. “Recent polls show that the majority of consumers continue to give great importance to good synchronization work, but expectations are at least as high for the simultaneous availability of the German language version. Our responsibility as a service provider is to recognise this trend and provide our customers with solutions which sacrifice neither creativity nor quality. We have ensured with our new location concept that our teams have the necessary tools for this at their disposal,” said board director Marcus Dröscher. For this reason, the company will use a significant portion of its investment for a secure and advanced network structure. The EUREF Campus offers significant strategic benefits in this respect. Cisco Systems for example, a leading international IT company and at the same time a global player in network structures development, will transfer its innovation centre to the Campus this year.
