The Finnish Student Health Service, FSHS, has signed a contract for a patient
information system deployed by Vitec Acute Oy. The system will cover the main
operations of FSHS including scheduling, patient information and billing. The
contract is for seven years and is calculated to around 4 million euro.

In the center of modern day medicine is patient centric service and
information. Vitec delivers by SaaS patient information system that covers most
of modern day out-patient clinics activities. FSHS's focus was to find a system
and provider that is integratable and comprehensive. Vitec will develop several
new value-adding features into its existing Acute-system and integrate to
several third party services. 

- Electronic health record procurement was done focusing especially on the
needs of the personnel and student healthcare specialities. In the first round
nine vendors participated and we continued with the three most potential ones.
Of those three Acute got most endorsements from personnel who took part in the
demos and usability tests. Acute as the new electronic health record for FSHS
will give us change to further enhance our electronic services and broaden our
service portfolio, both of which are in our strategic scope, says Olli-Pekka
Luukko, CFO FSHS. 

- This is one of the biggest single deals for our Acute-system. With FSHS we
will be able to develop our services to a new level that will help us to gain
new markets, says Ilari Laaksonen, Vitec's director for healthcare business
area. 

Finnish Student Health Service
The Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS) provides general, mental and oral
health care services for students of universities and other institutions of
higher education in Finland. The purpose of their health promotion work is to
get students to assume responsibility for their own health. FSHS encourage
healthy lifestyles and physical exercise. 

Vitec - Business Area Health
Business Area Health offers comprehensive patient information system via SaaS.
Our patient information system Acute covers the main processes of out- and
in-patient units and integrates to dozens of third party solutions. Acute is
widely used within several healthcare segments. Business area health also
offers out-of-the-box SaaS solutions for physical performance testing and
physiotherapy.
