After completing an apprenticeship as a banker, Patrick Zabel earned both an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Münster and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree on the side. He was a corporate client advisor for a large savings bank and finally worked for several years as a project manager for the auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). At PwC, Mr. Zabel was responsible for auditing large capital market-oriented groups and advised clients on fundamental accounting issues under IFRS and HGB. In the fall of 2018, he finally moved to Voltabox, where he was appointed Divisional CFO Finance and Human Resources in July 2019. In May 2020, he joined Voltabox’s Management Board for the first time as CFO. Following his interim departure from the board in October 2021, he took over the management of Trionity Invest GmbH, Voltabox’s anchor shareholder, in January 2022. On March 16, 2022, he was appointed CEO of Voltabox AG. In addition, Patrick Zabel is a member of the supervisory board of Voltabox’s investment ForkOn GmbH and a lecturer at Bielefeld University’s Minden campus. Patrick Zabel is an expert in international accounting.
