The company which was founded in 1923 has its headquarters in Munich. Including its franchise/partner companies, the Group has more than 3,000 sales locations across the globe.
Agriculture Segment
The Agriculture Segment provides a wide variety of trading and services for the agriculture and food industry. In its Agricultural Trade business unit, the Group markets agricultural produce and sells agricultural operating resources. By acquiring internationally active agricultural companies (Cefetra and Bohnhorst Agrarhandel), BayWa has risen to become one of the world’s leading agricultural traders. The Group also has a key position in fruit trading, both within Germany and on an international level (Turners & Growers). The Agricultural Equipment business unit rounds out the portfolio of products and services for agriculture with technical facilities, machinery and equipment as well as service and repairs.
Energy Segment
In the Energy Segment, the BayWa Group trades in diesel and Otto fuels, heating oil, lubricants and solid fuels. BayWa also offers green electricity and green gas. In addition, the Group has established itself in the renewable energies market as a major, internationally oriented project developer and trader in the fields of wind power, solar power and biomass.
Building Materials Segment
Through the Building Materials business unit, the Building Materials Segment provides the products, advice and services to meet all building needs – from civil engineering, construction, renovation and modernisation to all-inclusive offerings for energy and solutions using renewable energies. A franchise system places this range of services on even broader footing. The do-it-yourself and garden product range is also offered via a franchising system.
