Der Audi Konzern zählt mit den Marken Audi, Lamborghini und Ducati zu den Herstellern von Premiumautomobilen, Supersportwagen, Super-SUV und sportlichen Motorrädern.


Die Marke Audi steht für „Vorsprung durch Technik“. „Vorsprung“ bedeutet für Audi nachhaltige, individuelle Premiummobilität und die Erweiterung des persönlichen Freiraums für seine Kunden. Das Modellportfolio der Marke Audi umfasst alle wesentlichen Automobilsegmente. Das derzeitige Audi Produktangebot ist eines der jüngsten im Premiumsegment und umfasst eine umfangreiche Modellpalette – von Audi A1 und A3 im Kompaktsegment über A4 und A5 bis hin zu den komplett erneuerten Oberklassebaureihen A6, A7 und A8. Mit dem Audi Q2, dem Q3, dem Q5 und dem Q7 sowie dem Q8 ist Audi auch im SUV-Segment breit aufgestellt. Im Geschäftsjahr 2018 startete die Serienproduktion des ersten vollelektrischen SUV – des Audi e-tron. Die S- und RS-Modelle ergänzen das Fahrzeugangebot um besonders sportliche Varianten.


Zum weltweiten Verbund der Produktionsstandorte des Audi Konzerns zählen die beiden deutschen Standorte Ingolstadt und Neckarsulm sowie Produktionsstätten in Ungarn, Belgien, und Mexiko. Im Rahmen des Volkswagen Konzernverbundes stellt Audi zusätzlich an europäischen Produktionsstätten in der Slowakei, Spanien und Russland sowie in Brasilien, Indien und China Automobile her.

Gernot Döllner, born in 1969, studied mechanical engineering and design engineering/vehicle technology in Braunschweig, Germany, and Waterloo, Canada.

In 1993, he joined Volkswagen AG as a doctoral student in Wolfsburg. Following his doctorate, he worked as a systems analyst.

In 1998, Gernot Döllner moved to Porsche AG in Weissach, as project manager for reengineering. From 2001 to 2010, he was Head of the Vehicle Concepts and Package department there. Additionally, he took over project management for the Porsche 918 Spyder in 2009/2010.

Gernot Döllner then became the main department head of Product Strategy at Porsche AG. From 2011 to 2018 he was Head of the Panamera model series. After that, he was head of Product and Concept of Porsche AG.

In 2021, he returned to Wolfsburg, where he led the Group Strategy, the Group Product Strategy, and the General Secretariat of Volkswagen AG.

The Supervisory Board of AUDI AG appointed Gernot Döllner as Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, effective September 1, 2023. Since then, he has also been a member of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Group. He heads the Progressive brand group which includes Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Ducati.

Oliver Hoffmann was born in Hanover, Germany on February 25, 1977.

After graduating from Leibniz University Hannover with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, he began his career in the Technical Development division at Volkswagen AG in 2004.

From 2005 to 2011, Oliver Hoffmann held various positions at AUDI AG sites in Germany and abroad. He was initially responsible for quality assurance at Audi’s Italian subsidiary Automobili Lamborghini; starting in 2006, he was in charge of the development of V gasoline engines at Audi Neckarsulm.

In 2009, he accepted a management position in quality assurance at the Audi plant in Győr, Hungary, and subsequently for V gasoline engine development again at the Neckarsulm site.

From 2012, Oliver Hoffmann served as the Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG.

Between 2014 and 2017, he first headed Powertrain Development at the site in Győr before assuming responsibility for Powertrain Development at AUDI AG.

Oliver Hoffmann was Head of Technical Development at Audi Sport GmbH from October 2017 and appointed Managing Director in June 2018. He accepted two additional management positions in the company in 2019: Head of Technical Development at the Neckarsulm site and again Head of Powertrain Development at AUDI AG.

Since July 2020, Oliver Hoffmann has been heading the business operations of Technical Development at AUDI AG as Chief Operating Officer.

Since March 1, 2021, Oliver Hoffmann will serve on the Board of Management of AUDI AG with responsibility for the Technical Development division.

Xavier Ros was born in Barcelona in 1971.

After graduating in mechanical engineering at the Barcelona School of Industrial Engineering, Xavier Ros started his professional career in Audi’s Production and Logistics division in Ingolstadt in 1994. Three years later, he took over project management activities on the Audi A8 production line.

In 1999, Xavier Ros transferred to SEAT’s Technical Development division to advance the third-generation SEAT Ibiza in the Development Management department.

In 2002, Xavier Ros was appointed Secretary-General of SEAT. Five years later, he took over the role of Human Resources Strategy and Development Manager. Starting in 2011, Ros was appointed SEAT’s Personnel Director.

From 2013 to 2015, Xavier Ros worked at VW Autoeuropa in Portugal, where he managed the Human Resources department as a member of its Executive Committee. He returned to Martorell as SEAT’s Executive Vice President for Human Resources and Organization in September 2015.

Since May 20, 2022, Xavier Ros has been Labor Relations Director and Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG for Human Resources and Organization.

Jürgen Rittersberger was born in Mannheim on July 2, 1972.

Rittersberger graduated from the University of Mannheim with a degree in business information systems in 1999. The same year, he began his professional career in controlling at Philipp Holzmann AG and later at DIBAG Industriebau AG.

Rittersberger has worked for the Volkswagen Group since 2002. He started at Porsche’s Strategic Projects unit before switching to Investment Management. Since 2010, he has been in charge of the General Secretariat and Corporate Development at Porsche AG. Porsche appointed Rittersberger to the position of Executive Vice President in late 2015.

He then moved to the headquarter of the Volkswagen Group in Wolfsburg in September 2018. Rittersberger was placed in charge of the General Secretariat and Group Strategy at Volkswagen AG. In May 2020, he was appointed Executive Vice President of Volkswagen AG.

Rittersberger has been a Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG since April 1, 2021, and is responsible for Finance and Legal Affairs.

Gerd Walker was born on February 1, 1970, in Reutlingen, Germany.

He first worked at AUDI AG in 1997 as a working student in the field of engineering, writing a thesis on concept design for small-series production. After finishing his degree at the University of Stuttgart, he took his first job as a concept designer in the Production division at Audi in Ingolstadt.

In the period from 2002 to 2006, Gerd Walker had various positions in Technical Development in Neckarsulm and Ingolstadt. At first he was responsible for the procurement and production of test components for the construction of test vehicles; from 2004, he was project manager in charge of setting up the pre-series center, on the development side.

From 2005 to 2006, he managed the provision of materials and maintenance in the Technical Development division.

From 2006, he was responsible for product and process technology, body construction and exterior, in the pre-series center for the worldwide production of new models.

From 2009 to 2012, he acted as Board speaker for the Production division.

In September 2012, Gerd Walker took over the management of vehicle production at AUDI HUNGARIA in Györ.

In September 2016, he moved into the Group and managed production strategy in Wolfsburg.

From July 2018, Gerd Walker was head of Production at the Volkswagen Group in Wolfsburg.

Since February 1, 2022, Gerd Walker has been a member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, responsible for production and logistics.

Hildegard Wortmann was born on September 27, 1966, in Münster.

After graduating as a state-certified foreign language correspondent and studying business administration, she started her career at Unilever in 1990. She held various positions there including Product and Brand Manager and was later Marketing Director for Calvin Klein. During her work with the company she gained international experience, including in London and New York. Alongside her professional career she completed an MBA in London.

In 1998 she moved to the BMW Group, where, among other things, she supported the relaunch of the MINI brand as Head of Brand Communication. Her other professional positions at BMW included, for example, marketing pre-development and innovation projects, product management for the X and Z models and automotive and after sales product management. With the development of the electric brand BMW i, Hildegard Wortmann placed a decisive focus on e-mobility.

In 2016 she assumed management of the BMW brand. In January 2018 she moved to Singapore, where she was responsible for the Asia-Pacific sales region.

Hildegard Wortmann has been the Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG responsible for Marketing and Sales since July 1, 2019. From February to August 2022 she also held the position as Member of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Group for Sales. In addition, Hildegard Wortmann has been Member of the Extended Executive Committee of the Volkswagen Group since September 1, 2022 and responsible for Sales at Group level.
